Since the last module I have been looking more into how my current day job will help me with my future career in drama. I am a sales assistant; I work in a toy shop. As much as I love my job i do not see this as long term career, although in the last 3yrs of working there I have gained numerous skills which I definitely believe may help in my future career.
Over the last month I have been trying to find a placement within a youth centre, at first I was getting a lot of knock backs due do my lack of experience with youth work. So I thought to myself since I can not get a paid job working with young people that my best option would be to start form the very bottom and build my skills.
I have now found a placement which will offer me the chance to gain experience as well as qualifications within youth work.
